To my future patients

If you want to live with radiant health, and feel clarity in your body and mind, then I am here for you. We will focus on the five pillars of good health — Nutrition, Hydration, Sleep, Exercise and Mindfulness.

My name is Dr. Maryam Salehpour and I am a board-certified family physician and obesity medicine specialist. I am excited to announce the opening of my integrated primary care and long-term weight loss practice in Burlington, MA — Clarity Health & Wellness.

The practice of good medicine involves more than writing a prescription. We all need someone who will take the time to listen. The patient-physician relationship provides the most fulfilling aspect of my work, and it is the impetus for establishing my own membership-based practice. Being part of this innovative and intentionally smaller practice, you will enjoy significant benefits not typically found in a medical practice today:

  • You will always see me. Each visit. Every time.
  • You can directly and easily reach me when you need to, and we are not confined to 15-minute appointment slots mandated by health insurance companies.
  • I can take more time to understand your history and know your goals for the future, as well as foster a greater partnership with you to meet those goals.
  • You will receive medical care with an emphasis on preventing and reversing disease, and minimizing medication use.
  • Regardless of your health status, I will be directly involved in every level of your care.
  • No co-pays or deductibles. Just one flat, predictable monthly fee.

I decided to become board certified in obesity medicine because I care deeply about how obesity can deplete our vitality and affect our long-term health. The gradual implementation of healthy habits and good lifestyle practices are fundamental to disease prevention and health promotion.

As your trusted ally, I want to empower you to make informed choices to truly take charge of your health. I can teach you how moving to a whole food plant-based diet can reverse heart disease and diabetes and lower your risk of cancer.

About my background…

I grew up in England and attended St. George’s Hospital Medical School in London. I completed my medical degree in 2002 and worked for the National Health Service in the UK before I immigrated to the US to live with my husband.

I completed my family medicine residency in 2014 at New York Medical College at Saint Joseph’s Medical Center, a close-knit community hospital in Westchester, NY. In my senior year, I was awarded the Resident Teacher Award by the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine. Upon graduating, I joined Charles River Community Health in Waltham, MA, affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, providing care to a vibrant and culturally diverse community.

I am a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Massachusetts Medical Society, Obesity Medicine Association, Iranian-American Medical Association, and American College of Lifestyle Medicine.

Aside from being a family physician, I am a mother to 3 children. My husband is a pediatric dentist and founder of Burlington Children’s Dental. I enjoy all the arts — visual, performing and culinary!

It would be a privilege to be your physician.

With warm regards,

Maryam Salehpour, M.D.
